4 Days of touring through some of the best sights that Bolivia has to offer. Starting in La Paz and exploring all that it has to offer and then flying South to the beautiful city of Sucre.
La Paz, in Bolivia, is the highest administrative capital in the world, resting on the Andes’ Altiplano plateau at more than 3,500m above sea level. It stretches to El Alto city in the highlands, with snow-capped, 6,438m-high Mt. Illimani as its backdrop. The city’s dramatic setting can be taken in during rides on Mi Teleférico, the aerial cable car system.
Sucre is a city in the southern highlands of Bolivia. The whitewashed Casa de la Libertad, where Bolivia’s Declaration of Independence was signed, houses galleries related to the city’s past as the national capital. Also on Plaza 25 de Mayo, the main square, is the Catedral Metropolitana, an ornate colonial church.
Your adventure step by step
We will meet you all upon your arrival at La Paz airport by one of our representative, who will explain to you the plan for the following days and deliver the trip documents. We will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it.
Once we have picked you up, we will begin the journey to your hotel where we will help you check in.
After you have been checked into your hotel in La Paz, you will begin the tour.
Firstly, going to the city of El Alto to see the local architectural designs. This city mixes the modern architecture with the local Aymara design. Doing this results in very colorful tall buildings, representing the wealth of local people in a rather poor environment.They are a symbol of the new wealthy families of the area, who have built their own castle. The name “cholet” is formed by the words cholo (mestize) and chalet. These buildings are amazing from the outside and our tour takes you to the inside of one of the buildings so you can have a broader understanding and experience of this fascinating area of La Paz.
Once this tour has concluded you will be transferred back to your hotel where you will spend the night.
After breakfast you will be picked up and taken to one of the most interesting sites that La Paz has to offer. Visiting the Plaza Murillo to see the Government Palace, the local Cathedral and the Congress building.
After seeing these places then the tour will continue where you will then visit the Gold Museum, San Francisco Church, the biggest handicraft market in town known as the Witches Market, Los Andes street artisans, the Killi Killi outlook. All of which are not to be missed.
A detailed tour will be given to all of the mentioned places with a knowledgeable guide for the day. This tour will last about four hours.
After a break at lunch time you will ride on one of the lines of the longest cable car in the world. The ride will show beautiful views of the Illimani, the snowcapped mountain as well as of the eternal guardian of La Paz.
You will then continue to visit some southern neighborhoods such as Obrajes, Calacoto and San Miguel. Then finally once the days tour has concluded, you will vistit the moon valley on your journey back to the hotel.
This morning, you will be picked up early from your hotel after finishing breakfast. From the hotel you will go to La Paz airport where you will catch a flight to Sucre, located in the South of Bolivia. The duration of this flight will last approximately one hour.
At approximately 11am you will arrive in the airport of Sucre. You will be picked up by one of our representatives.
You will be introduced to your guide and driver for the day. Today’s tour will be a half day tour lasting the afternoon focusing on the history and traditions of the city.
Starting the tour in the charming and beautiful city of Sucre there is a variety of unique museums to match each visitor’s interests. Visiting the Textile Museum of Asur, The House of Liberty (closed on Monday), the Monastery of San Felipe Nery, The Monastery of la Recoleta, University Colonial, Anthropological and Modern Art Museum.
This tour will last three hours.
Later, you will be dropped at your hotel where you will spend the night.
Starting the day off with breakfast at the hotel. Having time in the morning to pack and get your luggage together.
A driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer you from the hotel to the airport.
At about midday you will take a flight back to La Paz. From here you will continue to take the next international flight.
