Rainbow Mountain

This is a 6-Day trek in the Vilcanota Cordillera, on a route we call the “Camino del Apu Ausangate” in proximity of the highest Mountain in Cusco.

This sacred mountain is located to the south east of the city of Cuzco, capital of the Inca Empire.

The trek will push us to our physical limits. A high altitude trek, we will cross mountain passes over 5,000 meters above sea level, and our campsites will be at an altitude of over 4,300 meters. The terrain is muddy and rocky.

This trek offers spectacular and beautiful views of the puna region, where the glaciers surround us in all directions. We will walk on the shores of lakes, and Andean cameloids will accompany us on parts of our journey.
