Built as a monastery in 1592, Monasterio Hotel retains the charm and ambience that has existed for centuries whilst boasting a reputation as one of the world’s finest hotels.

Monasterio Hotel has 126 rooms many of them with charming views of the city, the colourful rooftops of Cuzco or the beautiful inner courtyards of the hotel.  

The decoration and furnishings combine the best of modern and traditional Spanish colonial style. Magnificent examples of religious art adorn the walls.  The presence of the past is ever present, even as you are pampered by every luxury and modern comfort.

Deluxe Rooms: 

Each of the deluxe rooms is unique, as benefits a converted monastery, each of the rooms have there own little architectural quirks. Many of the rooms offer a wonderful view out into the main courtyard.

Around sixty–five guest rooms are enriched with oxygen to help combat any problems with altitude sickness.

Junior Suites: 

There are twelve Junior Suites in the hotel, all designed with two levels. Each suite has a lovely bedroom on the mezzanine level and a living room on the lower level.

Presidential Suites:

The hotel has three spacious and elegant Presidential Suites, all featuring a king-size bed, separate living room and a marble bathroom.

In 2014 Hotel Monasterio was renamed as Belmond Hotel Monasterio. This marked the change of the Orient-Express Hotels Ltd. name to Belmond Ltd.
